Buster Ballard- The Hardest Working Dog in Tourism

Meet Buster Ballard, the hardest working dog in tourism. Buster is a native of Warren County and has spent his entire life exploring Cardwell Mountain and greeting guests as they arrive at Cumberland Caverns.

Buster, the official cave concierge, loves to lead tourists on nature hikes across the mountain and is the perfect host to musicians and tailgaters alike who come for concerts.  Always the first to volunteer assistance, he sometimes sneaks into the cave to help children on field trips with their lunches. Buster is selfless in his pursuit of customer satisfaction and his efforts really show.

Mr. Ballard, whom guests have playfully nicknamed “cave dog,” arrives for work each day around 8:00 a.m. His office is upstairs, and in between naps and receiving love from random customers, he partakes of meals with his colleagues in the breakroom.

Buster is not only the hardest working dog in tourism, but he is also the smartest and most handsome but don’t take our word for it, come and see for yourself.
