If you like wide open spaces and fresh mountain air, our Apple Brandy Guided Hike will fit your lifestyle. The all-new guided outdoor hike takes guests ages 10 and up on a 2.5-mile moderate intensity trek across the mountain. During this hiking excursion, groups will be immersed in nature and entertained and delighted by the history, legends, and secrets of the area.
Looking for an underground hike without any climbing or crawling? Hop on one of our Daily Walking Tours that leave out every hour on the hour, 7 days a week. We will take you 333’ below the surface where it is always a perfect 56 degrees without any chance of inclement weather. This is a mildly strenuous trek through the commercial parts of the cave that doesn’t require any special gear. All you will need on this tour is a good pair of walking shoes and possibly a light jacket.
When you are ready to take it up a notch, we have 4 adventure tours to choose from: Rocky Topper (ages 6 and up),Higgenbotham’s Revenge (ages 11 and up), Parts Unknown (ages 16 and up). and the all-new Legacy Tour (ages 16 and up). These wild tours take you into remote areas of the cave and test your abilities while conquering your fears. They are great adventures for confidence and team building while making memories to last a lifetime. You should wear light layers, long pants, and knee and elbow pads are recommended. We will provide the helmet and headlamp.
The ultimate in adventures are found in our caveman campouts. These overnight excursions give you all the best of what the cave has to offer. You get to learn the history, science, and legends of the cave on a walking tour, get your blood pumping on an adventure tour, and bed down inside the cave without having to worry with pitching a tent or being annoyed with bugs. We also have 4 options for anyone brave enough to take on the challenge: What Waits Below (ages 6 and up), Higgenbotham’s Revenge Overnight (ages 11 and up), All Around the Mountain (ages 11 and up), and the Part’s Unknown (ages 16 and up).
All our adventure tours, guided hikes, and caveman campouts are by reservation only and require you to book 10 days in advance. The only exception is the Saturday 10 am Rocky Topper and 2 pm Higgenbotham’s Revenge tours which can be taken without a reservation.
