Discover Adventure at Cumberland Caverns in McMinnville, TN
Our knowledgeable guides lead Daily Scenic Walking Tours year round. Daily tours do not require a reservation and can be enjoyed by most explorers. These cavern tours take you deep into the cave to see some of the most amazing sights like a historic 1812 saltpeter mine, a beautiful underground waterfall, and gleaming pools.
Guided underground Spelunking Adventures offer explorers a more challenging experience. We also offer Caveman Campouts! These overnight adventures are the best way to fully experience everything the underground has to offer. Cave explorers who want to spend the night in the cave will need a reservation and at least 10 in your group.
Make plans to visit Tennessee’s largest show cave and discover saltpeter artifacts, gleaming pools, an underground waterfall and the world-famous Volcano Room. The two-story space sits 333 feet below the surface and is the home to Cumberland Caverns Live which hosts amazing musical performances.
Cumberland Caverns is located in the heart of Middle Tennessee between Nashville, Chattanooga, and Gatlinburg. The Caverns are a short drive from Fall Creek Falls State Park, Rock Island State Park, Center Hill Lake, and Savage Gulf (the Stone Door) and a neighbor of Falcon Rest Historic Mansion.
