About Cumberland Caverns

Discover Adventure at Cumberland Caverns in McMinnville, TN

Our knowledgeable guides lead “Daily Walking Tours” year round. Daily tours do not require a reservation and can be enjoyed by most explorers. These cavern tours take you deep into the cave to see some of the most amazing sights like a historic 1812 saltpeter mine, a beautiful underground waterfall, and gleaming pools.

These overnight adventures are the best way to fully experience everything the caverns has to offer. Cave explorers who want to spend the night in the cave will need a reservation, and at least 10 in your group.

Make plans to visit Tennessee’s largest show cave: discover saltpeter artifacts, gleaming pools, an underground waterfall, and the world-famous “Volcano Room”. The two-story space sits 333 feet below the surface, and is home to “Cumberland Caverns Live” which hosts amazing musical performances from various genres.
