When planning your trip to the Upper Cumberland and Middle Tennessee, you need to plan on more than a couple of days because we have a lot to offer the outdoor enthusiast and foodie alike. You can spend an entire day exploring Cumberland Caverns and our beautiful, well-marked hiking trail across Cardwell Mountain.

Warren County:

Smooth Rapids Outfitters-Tell Jimmy and the boys, Cumberland Caverns says ‘hello’ when you float the lazy Barren Fork River right up to their awesome restaurant with a  fabulous view. Don’t have a boat? No worries, they offer kayak, canoe, and tube rentals, with pick-up and delivery services available.

Rock Island State Park– Take your family camping, hiking, boating, and enjoy the great outdoors with a trip to one of the best state parks in Tennessee. Twin Falls, located inside Rock Island State Park, is 1 of 10 incredible waterfalls located within an hour’s drive. While you are in Rock Island, Don’t forget to check out the great eateries, outfitters, and shops. You are going to be amazed at the treasures you will uncover here.

ISHA– Can’t get enough of hiking and biking in the mountains? ISHA has 1400 acres and over 15 miles of hiking and biking trails just waiting for you to discover. Or, would you like to relax, meditate, and take a yoga class? Isha Institute of Inner Sciences invites you to come and explore their pristine mountain home on top of Harrison Ferry Mountain.

Falcon Rest Mansion and Gardens– Step back in time when you take a walking tour or spend the night at Falcon Rest, one of the area’s oldest and most beloved mansions. George and Charlene will make you feel right at home in their completely restored abode that was once owned by the prominent Faulkner family. You will learn the history, legends, and secrets of the property, grounds, and it’s inhabitants.

Downtown McMinnville– You have never been to a quainter town square than the one McMinnville, Tennessee boasts.  Historic buildings preserved to perfection are buzzing with the trendiest eateries, boutiques, live theater, and antiquities. Don’t forget to have one of the locals take your picture made by the fountain. They won’t mind a bit.
